About Marlene W. Potts

Stories begin where attention lives.

Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Marlene W. Potts found an early path into writing through the Literary Arts Program at the Penn Center.

Her work has moved from intimate adult fiction and mysteries to children’s stories filled with curiosity and heart. Along the way, she has worked in public and private schools, spent years homeschooling children, and continued building stories for readers of many ages.

Today, her books invite readers into love, loss, family, questions, and the surprises waiting just beneath the surface.

“Stories have the power to transform lives.”
